Day off!

*sigh* Well, today's my day off. I did half my homework already. I just gotta study for my test tomorrow and then start studying for my test on Monday.

I have to go to Stage today to have them take off a security thing. My mom bought me a jacket but they left the security tag thing on and obviously I can't wear it like that. I think I might stop in Hobby Lobby because I'd like to see what kind of mardi gras stuff they have. I want to stop by tomorrow night while the Saga Staff is decorating for Saga Ball on saturday.. and their theme is "masquerade" and they're going to do it like an old time Mardi Gras ball.. so I want to buy them something cute to give them if I stop by tomorrow night.

I watched American Idol last night....

It really surprised me how many young people there are in top 24. Normally Simon doesn't like the young ones because he thinks they can't handle it (and in most cases he IS right...) but there's like 5 of them under 18.

Let's do the girls first...

Ayla Brown: The girl with the senator for a father... she's ok. I think the senator dad thing helped her alot though...

Becky O'Donohue: the one that people thinks is really pretty. She irritates the hell out of me.. if she wins I swear I'll throw myself down the stairs...She SQUEAKS when she sings...

Brenna Gethers: The drama queen that messed up her group in Hollywood... she, like Becky, drives me up the frickin wall and I think she's obnoxious. Simon was right, she is difficult, impossible to work with and annoying...

Heather Cox: Never saw the girl until last night when they told her she made it.. so I have no comment.

Katharine Mcphee: I like her. I think she's different. Needs some improvement.. but that'll happen in due time.

Kelly Pickler: The girl with the convict for a dad. I like HER.. but I think her voice reminds me too much of Carrie from last year. I think she'll go far because people like her and her story, but I don't think she'll win for fear of a repeat of last year.

Kinnik Sky: Never saw her till last night.

Lisa Tucker: I LIKE her... I think she's really good. Tends to over sing it sometimes, but that's cause she did broadway.. they like that there.

Mandisa: She's my favorite girl. She reminds me so much of Aretha Franklin (who I LOVE) and she's so classy. I love her

Melissa McGhee: Never saw her till last night.

Paris Bennett: Oh I like her too! She wins bonus points with me cause she's from Fayetteville, GA!! :-D She's cute.. sometimes she sounds funny, but overall she's good.

Stevie Scott: Can't stand her. THis is not "Opera Idol"... give it time sweetheart, I'm sure they'll be a show called that in like 2 years...

Ace Young: Ok, so I know he sang WESTLIFE for his audition.. and at the time I was thinking, "Oh honey, can't you pick a GOOD SONG?!?" but.. he did sound good.. and he's so freakin gorgeous... lol..

Bobby Bennett: Never saw him till last night

Bucky Covington: well, if that NAME and his APPEARANCE doesn't scream Trailor Trash to you, I don't know what does. This kid better look like cleaning up before he goes on TV... and for the record I thought he MURDERED "Broken Road"

Chris Daughtry: He could very well be my favorite guy... he's so awesome.. I love the rasp in his voice.

David Radford: He's so cute! And he sang one of my favorite songs! Dream a little dream.. good for him for throwing back to the rat-pack age.

Elliot Yamin: I like him.. he sounds really good..don't think he'll win.. but he's likeable.

Gedeon Mckinney: Never saw him till last night

Sway: he's so cool.. I don't think he's got the best voice.. but he's good..

Kevin Covais: He's like the young Clay Aiken. He sang "You Raise me Up" wonderfully.. I think he's cute.

Patrick Hall: Ok, I totally fell in love with him when he sang "If" in Hollywood.. he sounds AMAZING. He can compete with Chris Daughtry for being my favorite.

Taylor Hicks: So the grey hair does throw me off a bit. but he sounds REALLY good... it'll be interesting to see how far he goes.

Will Makar: Am I the only one who thinks he looks like the kid from the Wonder Years?? He's good.. I like David Radford better though for singing the rat pack stuff.. but he's pretty good too..

All in all.. good group but I WANT A GUY TO WIN.

can't wait till next week.

Well I'm off to go get dressed, eat, run off, and then come back and study.
